Blacon Community Trust: Mission Statement.

The aim of Blacon Community Trust is to 'build a better Blacon through the active involvement of the community to find local solutions to local problems.'

The Trust aspires to be a primary force for sustained and inclusive community-based regeneration in line with six strategic objectives*:

• Community enterprise. To provide local jobs through sustainable, socially responsible businesses.
• Children and young people. To provide care and support to enhance opportunities for individual attainment.
• Inclusion. To respond to the needs of the most vulnerable and excluded people in the community.
• Research and innovation. To pioneer innovative and creative responses to identified community needs.
• Communication. To advocate and promote the interests of of the Blacon area, acting and campaigning on behalf of the community.
• Sustainable community. To promote the vision of Blacon as a neighbourhood in which people choose to live, work and invest.
